Well I always say that every wedding I do has a different unique story, something that sets them apart. But here is with this story gets exceptional, I had the privilege of photographing not one.. but two wedding on the same day! I have decided to share Kaitlin and Ian’s first ( which means you should stay tune to more )

I met Kaitlin and Ian in a Starbucks in Robinson Township on a spring like day. I was surprised to know that Kaitlin was a professional dancer  ( later my friend and  mentor Matt, who worked with me on this wedding, told me he had photographed her before on a assignment, needless to say I don’t believe in coincidences mind you, the Lord wanted me to do this) and that Ian was a dirt road bike rider on the side.. yep I was ready to photograph them on the spot.

Unfortunately I was already booked in the morning that day. You should know that the felling of disappointed was extremely heavy on my heart, but right there I made a decision that would be make that day a total adventure.. without a doubt in my hear I told them to see if they could not find anyone else I would do it for them. Yes, for the first time in my small career I would book two weddings in one day.

I did  mention I was doing another wedding in the morning right? Thankfully my mentor and great friend Matt was there working with me the whole day, I could not have done it without him.

The ceremony was held at West Ridge Christian Community Church a beautiful Church next to a wooded area that later served as our spot for photos after the ceremony. I have worked with this amazing church in the past and It was a great feeling to be doing a wedding there finally!

It was a wonderful ceremony, with a great message of love embedded into it. As I mention many times, I love to photograph the small intimate moments, there was no shortage of it on this wedding. Friendship, love and a beautiful feeling of knowing that Christ was in the midst of all.

I think one of my most favorite parts of the any wedding day is both the formals and portraits after the ceremony. I have had the pleasure of working with  great wedding parties compromise with perhaps the funniest bunch of people I have ever met. And this wedding was no exception. It is was by far the funniest yet. The ladies look beautiful and the lads look amazing and they both put a smile on my face as we worked together to make Kaitlin & Ian’s day one to remember.

And let’s not forget  about the man and the woman of the hour. I will always say that all my couples are picture perfect. And these two proved that. Love can be photograph when you can see it in two people before the Lord. It’s the most beautiful thing ever being able to photograph couples that show that kind of love.

I never had a southern like wedding reception before,so this was my very first one ( the groom has his own cake! ). Dancing, good food and the friendliest atmosphere and hospitality that would warm any heart. I could not ask for a better finale of this already beautiful day and extraordinary friend.

And let’s not forget about dancing! Usually this is when I relax the most, but not this time. I was not kidding when I said this was a southern style reception. Dancing folks was awesome. From the Father and Daughter dance to the last song played, it was fun.

And as closed another great adventure, I would like to thank first of all both Kaitlin and Ian for their trust and the chance for me to photograph their amazing day. I will also like to thank Jen Miller for being the best wedding planner there is! And also to all the friends and family that made this day equally amazing. But most of all I thank the Lord Almighty for all His grace, skills, good weather and great people to work with. None of this could have had happened without Him.

My best prayers go to all of you and to Kaitlin and Ian: may the Lord be with you both on your amazing journey together.
